OCTG, which includes drill pipe, casing and tubing, serve as integral elements in the extraction of oil and natural gas. E&P operators use drill pipe to drill oil and natural gas wells. Casing acts as a structural liner in oil and natural gas wellbores to provide support and prevent collapse during drilling operations and is also used to protect water-bearing formations during the drilling of a well. Tubing is inserted into the well after the completion of the drilling process and is used to transport oil and gas from the wellbore to the surface.
